The Office of Cannabis Management released preliminary draft rules for Minnesota's adult-use cannabis market, opening a public feedback period. The draft covered licensing requirements, product standards, testing protocols, packaging, labeling, and advertising restrictions.
In summer 2024, the OCM released its first comprehensive draft of proposed rules governing the adult-use cannabis market. The rules addressed all 15 license types, cultivation and manufacturing standards, product safety testing, packaging and labeling requirements, advertising restrictions, transportation protocols, and compliance enforcement. A public comment period allowed industry stakeholders and the public to provide input.
